Run a feedback program

Set research goals, create review questions, and choose the platform priorities that matter to your team.

A feedback program starts with a small set of outcomes. Add goals that describe what you want to learn, then ask questions that help customers answer those goals.

1. Add a research goal

Define the learning outcome

Write a goal as a learning outcome, such as understanding why first-time customers do not return. Keep the text specific enough to guide question design.

Use goals.create to create it and goals.list to display existing goals.

2. Add review questions

Match questions to outcomes

A question must include its tags, priority, answer mode, status, and visibility. Select questions also need answers.options, a list of two to six { id, option } objects; text-only questions omit it. Start with one active question per outcome, then add more when the first answers reveal a gap.

Use questions.create. Archive a question with questions.update when it no longer fits the program. Keep the question ID if you need to restore or edit it later.

3. Order platform goals

Send zero-based positions

Use platformGoals.update to send the ordered platform goal list. Positions start at 0. The IDs are trust, reliability, experience, safety, personalization, fairness, identity, and outcome.

Review the program

Check every active question

Before releasing questions:

  • Confirm every active question supports a current goal.
  • Use text_only when customers need to explain an experience in their own words.
  • Use single_select or multi_select only when the choices cover the likely answers.
  • Keep private questions for business-only context by setting responseVisibility to private.
  • Read the feedback configuration reference for the complete request shapes.
